Performing a movement for the sake of just performing that movement is not effective in attaining desired adaptations. It must serve a purpose in order to reach those specific adaptations. Increasing movement efficiency serves to perform at a certain level, while exerting less effort. 

The snatch is one of the most technical movements that can be implemented in training programs. One of the most pertinent uses of the snatch is for power development. This article discusses the snatch and how training efficiency can be improved through different means, both internally and externally, to improve overall performance.
